This is the webpage for members and supporters of the Socialist Party who are active in the trade unions at Coventry City Council. We have members and supporters in the main unions, and we strive for strong, campaigning, democratic unions to beat the capitalist austerity drive.

We publish a regular bulletin ‘The Socialist’, which is now on the 16th issue. We aim to inform council workers about what is happening, in order to be able to campaign against the cuts to our jobs, terms and conditions and in defence of public services.

On this site we will publish news and views from our supporters, on local, national and international developments. We aim to build the ideas and policies of Socialism in our workplaces and trade unions, as an alternative to endless austerity.

We would encourage those who agree withus to contact us, and to consider joining the Socialist Party. Help us strengthen the Socialist opposition to the cuts.
